Jacob Mintz (MSME Student)
The intent of this project is to create an interactive exhibit that shows students how various applied forces to a cantilever beam create stresses with the intent of helping them better visualize what stress is and how it is formed. The project involves many design techniques and implementations including Design for Manufacturing and Cost, User Centered Design, Product Design, and Universal Design. Showing the effectiveness of the product is done through a comparison study of students formally learning the topic for the first time. Jacob is expected to graduate in Fall 2019. |
